Think of us as your child’s dental home, the same way you have a family doctor. Come and see us around the first birthday, then every six months after that. We get to know your child and, just as importantly, your child gets to know us, long before anything ever hurts.

If a cavity has already started, our job is to stop it and save the tooth. We pick whatever keeps the tooth, never whatever is fastest. And if a cavity is small enough to simply keep an eye on, we will tell you so, then show you at the next visit whether anything has changed.

We recently visited Tooth Tales for our son Parth’s dental treatment, as he had cavities in multiple teeth, including two major ones. As parents, we were naturally very worried about the procedure and were not familiar with pediatric dentists.
From our very first visit, Dr. Shivika took the time to explain everything clearly, addressed all our concerns, and guided us on the causes and prevention of dental issues in children. Her reassurance gave us a lot of confidence.

Until a few months ago, we weren’t even aware that Pediatric Dentistry was a separate specialty. When our 2.5-year-old son started having dental issues, we went from one dentist to another, seeking opinions and trying to understand the best course of action. As parents, it was overwhelming to hear that such a young child might need extensive dental treatment, and the thought of treatment under general anesthesia made us even more anxious.
Meeting Dr. Sanchit at Tooth Tales changed everything. From the very first consultation, he took the time to thoroughly explain our child’s condition, the treatment options, and why each procedure was necessary. He patiently answered every question, addressed our concerns about general anesthesia, and helped us make informed decisions with confidence.

What is the best age to take a child to a pediatric dentist?
By the first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth appearing. We believe in establishing a dental home from pregnancy onwards, so problems are prevented instead of treated.
Is happy gas safe for children?
Happy gas is the mildest form of sedation used in dentistry. Nitrous oxide is its medical name. At the clinic you will hear it called Happy Gas, which is what your child will hear too, so all three mean the same thing. Your child stays awake, breathes on their own, and can answer you throughout. It wears off within minutes of the mask coming off, and most children go back to school the same day. Dr. Sanchit Paul is a Certified Conscious Sedation Professional.
Does Tooth Tales treat children with special needs?
Yes. We run a dedicated Special Needs Clinic. Dr. Sanchit Paul holds an accredited Special Children and Craniofacial Fellowship from SickKids Hospital, Toronto, and the clinic is set up to give these children the time and calm they need.
What is tongue tie and how is it treated?
Tongue tie (ankyloglossia) restricts tongue movement and can affect feeding and speech. We release tongue ties and lip ties with a dental laser: minimally invasive, no stitches, quick recovery.
How much does a first visit cost?
A first visit starts at ₹900 on weekdays. It covers a full check of your child’s teeth, bite and gums, and a plan you can take away. Anything further is quoted before we begin, never during treatment.

What training does Dr. Sanchit Paul have?
An MDS in Pediatric Dentistry from Manipal, then a fellowship at SickKids Hospital in Canada. Dr. Paul is an airway focused and special needs care pediatric dentist: alongside general pediatric dentistry he treats mouth breathing and tongue tie, and he runs the clinic’s special needs care, where more than 1,000 children have been seen. He holds FIAPD from Dublin and Switzerland, won IAPD awards at Cape Town in 2025 and Chile in 2017, and wrote the special needs dentistry chapter in Muthu’s Pediatric Dentistry: Principles and Practice. Dental associations in five countries have invited him to speak.
